ABOUT
Hey there! My name is Natalie Kyle. I am an aspiring Visual Effects artist with a strong focus of Compositing for film. I have a strong understanding of node based workflows within nuke, keeping my scripts clean and easy to follow.
Outside of VFX, I like getting out into nature and exploring. It helps me reset and gives me a lot of visual inspiration for my projects. I also enjoy painting, especially when I can experiment with colour and lighting which feeds back into how I approach my compositing work.
Over time, I have developed a solid foundation in 3D workflows such as camera matching, modeling and scene setup at Think Tank Training Centre
My term 1 project for Think Tank Training Centre was a recreation of an artwork by Chloe Boozer.
For this project, we were tasked with recreating a concept found online using the skills we developed throughout the term. The project took approximately six weeks to complete from start to finish. I began by blocking out the scene, aligning the camera to match the original concept within a 3D space. From there, I moved into modeling, starting with the larger objects, such as the table, and gradually working toward smaller props and fabric elements. Once the modeling phase was complete, I exported the project into Substance Painter to develop the textures. Finally, I rendered the scene using V-Ray and brought the result into Photoshop for final adjustments and refinements.
